#7 Food
Cavaliers are unpretentious in food, you just need to choose a menu that will be rich in vitamins and minerals, whether it’s natural food or ready-made industrial food. A dog should always have a bowl of clean water to drink.
#8 Training
Good features of Cavaliers in the training process are obedience and the lack of stubbornness characteristic of most breeds. Even inexperienced owners can, if they wish, instill in their dog of this breed the skills necessary for a comfortable existence in society. Good attitude, encouragement for a well-executed team, the absence of excessive loads - and the dog will become obedient, will not bring a headache to the owners and annoy neighbors.
#9 Health and Disease
Cavaliers faithfully serve their master for about 10-12 (rarely 15) years. This breed is considered quite strong in terms of health (if we are talking about a dog with documents purchased from a respectable breeder). However, these decorative spaniels may have congenital and acquired diseases.
#10 Art
Today on the Web, canine publications, and just on the street, you can see cute spaniels with sad, clever eyes of the Cavalier King Charles breed. But it is especially interesting to contemplate the ancient paintings of the Renaissance and Enlightenment (and later), written by such masters as Anthony Van Dyck, Thomas Gainsborough, Joshua Reynolds Sargent, and others. The canvases, whose age exceeds several hundred years, depict beautiful high society, and sometimes royal people, and at their feet are located exactly like modern Cavalier King Charles Spaniels of a dog.
#11 Popularity
For many decades, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniels have been recognized as one of the most popular and beloved dogs in the UK. Many dog lovers from Europe choose Cavaliers as a home friend due to their wonderful nature and non-cruelty. They appeared in the USSR in 1986. The first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in the Land of Soviets was a one-year-old male named Herbie from Douglas of the tricolor color, born in the GDR (died in 1999). For crossbreeding in the USSR, in 1988, a Kenzi von Sachsenhof bitch with a shade of Blenheim was brought. Their offspring appeared in 1990, thus, in our country, the breed has gained popularity for 30 years.
