Canadian-American retired actor, Michael J. Fox, had to also say goodbye to his 12-year-old dog Gus on April 21.
"Gus — great dog and loyal friend, we'll miss you," Fox wrote on Instagram, before referencing several pages from his 2020 memoir, No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality.
Fox also paid tribute to Gus on Instagram, posting numerous photos of him and Gus together over the years.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards also revealed that her sweet Yorkshire pup died on February 16, 2021.
"My dogs are my other children and it hurts so much to think that she is gone. Why can't we live forever?" Richards wrote on Instagram, alongside a slideshow of photos of the small pooch with her family.
She added, "Littlest dog with the biggest attitude. I will be forever grateful for the 16 years we had with her 💔"

Sonic the Hedgehog star, James Marsden posted a tribute on Feb. 16 to his Labrador Retriever on his Instagram, writing, "He was love. He was healing. He was the center of our little universe and our best friend."
The slideshow featured a shot of the pup with Marsden, as well as several throwback photos of Buddy and the actor's two older children.
"Rest In Peace, our sweet Buddy, and we will meet again. ❤️," Marsden added.

American actress, Taraji P. Henson, mourned the loss of her French bulldog, who died in late March following complications from surgeries.
According to the actress, K-Ball, who also has an Instagram account, has breathing issues, and "his trachea was the size of a straw," which made regular activities difficult for him.
"He had two surgeries and his Lil body couldn't take it," she wrote on Instagram. "I gave you the best three years ever. Private jets vacations shopping movie sets photo shoots the best dog food money could buy and ALL OF MY LOVE!!!

American actress and singer, Emmy Rossum, paid tribute to her a Terrier-Havanese mix and rescue dog Cinnamon on April 9.
"We lost our best friend of nearly 14 years today," Rossum wrote on Instagram, writing that her pup "was loved" by her family — including husband Sam Esmail, their dogs Sugar and Pepper, and their cat Fiona.
"He loved eating, sleeping, and traveling. He loved barking at children and eating discarded pizza crusts off the street," she said. "He loved being carried and he loved being loved."
