The National Dog Show is one of the most well-known dog competitions in the world. The show, organized by the Kennel Club of Philadelphia, was established in 1879 and has been held on an annual basis since 1933.
The NDS is a purebred dog competition organized by the American Kennel Club. Only dogs that have been registered with the AKC may compete. The AKC recognizes 197 different dog breeds and variaties, which are divided into seven categories.
