#7 Sphynx cats are hairless, they also assume that the cats are hypoallergenic
#8 Sphynx cats tend to get cold easily
#9 They absolutely hate having clothes on
-
No more true than saying they hate baths. It depends on each cat as well as how young and often you dress them. In the winter my girl has shirts and sweaters she wears and certainly doesn’t hate.
-
exactly B. My sphynx will bring his clothes to me. These are such generalizations.
-
My Elf, Dwelf and Peterbald love sweaters.. in the winter.
#10 The Sphynx cat will require constant care and attention
-
Not sure where these facts come from but uhm again some do as they often don’t learn how to groom or use litter boxes quite right so they need some help but constant?? Like any pet the more love and attention the more you will get back from them.
#11 Sphynx cats are very smart animals
#12 This cat gets really oily because it doesn’t have the hairs to absorb the oil
-
Again, there are a lot of factors involved in what contributes to the oil in the Sphynx cat.
Which they are absolutely not. In fact with the lack of fur and self grooming the oils that contain the allergen are more exposed and in larger consontrations can make some people have greater allergy issues.
Sphynx cats are not hypoallergenic. Never ever adopt a Sphynx cat and think that you will be spared an allergic response. Always spend time with the sphynx cat first before adoption.
