The FDA has announced that pet food manufacturers have recalled more than 10 different types of pet foods this year so far.
The recall has been issued due to possible contamination from salmonella and listeria monocytogenes.

These brands are manufactured by Midwestern Pet Foods Inc, which was recalled by FDA on January 11, 2021, due to the Aflatoxin Levels Exceed Acceptable Levels.
Vitakraft
The FDA classifies Vitakraft Sun Seed Inc.’s Vita Smart Hedgehog Food as a Type I recall. It was recalled by the FDA on March 1, 2021, owing to potential contamination with Salmonella.

Ground Beef and Performance Dog, frozen raw pet food produced by Bravo Packing, Inc. has been recalled by the FDA due to a possible Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes risk on March 3, 2021.

The FDA recalled Performance Dog, beef, green tripe, and bone produced by Bravo Packing Inc on March 16, 2021, due to the possible presence of Salmonella and Listeria monocytogenes.
Multiple brands by Midwestern Pet Foods
On March 27, 2021, the FDA ordered a recall of numerous dog and cat food brands produced by Midwestern Pet Foods owing to possible salmonella contamination.

The United States Food and Drug Administration has recalled J. M. Smucker Co.’s Dry Cat Food on April 12, 2021, due to a possible Salmonella presence.

Sunshine Mills, Inc.’s dog food has been recalled by the Food and Drug Administration on July 29, 2021, due to elevated levels of aflatoxin.

On August 13, 2021, the FDA issued a recall of Wet Noses Natural Dog Treat Company’s frozen dog food due to high doses of Vitamin D.
Top Quality Dog Food.com
The FDA has announced that Top Quality Dog Food’s Beef HVM product, which was recalled by FDA on August 26, 2021, is due to potential salmonella and listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The pet food recall by the FDA in 2021 is one of many that has occurred over time.
