Nicola Coyle, a retired nurse, became a hero for senior dogs that were abandoned. We have learned how Coyle started a hospice in her home for elderly dogs to feel appreciated and happy. Coyle’s initiative to adopt these dogs has been remarkable and established the Grey Muzzle Canine Hospice that takes care of abandoned or stray dogs. Preferably dogs who have only a few months left, as the dog hospice focuses on the end of life care

Not all superheroes have superpowers as golden retrievers Kelsey and Barry save the lives of their owners. Starting with Kelsey, her heroic acts to save owner Bob who accidentally slipped and broke his neck leaving himself almost completely paralyzed in the cold. Barry, another family’s Golden Retriever, saved the youngest daughter of a family after tripping into the shallow waters of a beach due to strong wings. The family had to perform CPR on the daughter as she was unconscious. Barry and the young girl have been inseparable ever since that after that life-threatening event and she holds the pup’s special place in her heart.

Now let’s not get political, we are focusing on the dog here. Dogs are welcome again to the White House and history has been made with the first rescue dog in the Whitehouse! President-elect Biden adopted Major The German from a shelter as a companion to his other German Shepherd, named Champ. This news has definitely been a pawsitive one on social media for pet lovers and Major now holds the title of the first-ever rescue dog to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Lamb Chop was voted the World’s Cutest Rescue Dog after stealing the hearts of voters with her unique story. Lamb Chop was founded in a puppy mill, where she spent more than six years and developed a lot of illnesses. These were treated later on after being saved by the Washington County Humane Society and Lamb Chop found her forever home. Lamb Chop and her owner now work in an effort to shut down puppy mills and encourage pet adoption.

Mabel and Olive, are two Labradors that are certainly loved by owner Cotter. The BBC broadcaster had a bit too much free time on his hands due to the pandemic. In his most recent video, Cotter sat down in a video meeting with his two pups to give an update on their performance during the coronavirus lockdown. Some red flags that he realized are that the 2 dogs ruined the sofas and hadn’t caught a single one of the 913 squirrels they had chased!
