Beware, These Foods Can Put Your Dog in Danger!

All dogs love to eat. Chewing is their most favorite activity beside playing. since there are so many foods to eat, you should’ve known that there are also some delicious foods for us that could harm dogs and might put their lives in danger. So it’s better for you to know which food is safe for your dogs and keep them healthy at Christmas.

Make sure that your dog avoid these foods

  1. Chocolate

Chocolate contains an ingredient called theobromine that could harm your dog. If you let your dog eat chocolate or they eat chocolate without you knowing, it could put their health at risk. So make sure to keep your dog away from chocolates.

2. Cheese

All dairy products like cheese and milk could harm your dogs. Though the risk is not for all dogs, but some dogs are lactose intolerant just like humans. So it’s better to prevent before your dog get diarrhea, vomiting or any stomach issues.

3. Macadamia Nuts

Macadamia nuts are poisonous to dogs. It can cause the increased body temperature, lethargy, tremor, etc. whether they are parts of the cake or treat on their own, you should keep your dog away from it for any further risk.

4. Grapes and raisins

We often put grapes and raisins on cake or pudding. Though it’s delicious, both grapes and raisins are poisonous to your dogs. The worst scenarios can lead to kidney failure for your four legged best friends.

5. Artificial sweeteners

We used sweeteners on every cake, pudding or any kind of foods. The problem is it contains xylitol that can lead to liver damage for your four legged companions. It also can be found in chewing gum. So make sure to avoid any kind of artificial sweeteners.

So what kind of food is safe to feed your dog at Christmas?

Well, there are tons of foods you can feed  to your dog without bringing any harm for them. And it includes:

  • Carrots 
  • Meat (without bone)
  • Salmon
  • Turkey meat (without skin or bone)
  • Potatoes
  • Eggs 
  • Green beans
  • Peas
  • And many others

And keep in mind, if you feed your dog with lots of new food it could also harm them and lead to vomiting, diarrhea or any stomach issues.
